Membership Portal

Eligibility for membership in Gamma Sigma Delta for students, faculty, staff, alumni, honorees, and industry supporters is based on criteria outlined in our Tennessee Chapter By-Laws. Once initiated, as a member of Gamma Sigma Delta, a member is a lifetime member of the Society.

Membership signifies common dedication to excellence and high standards, to advancement of knowledge for the service of society, and to responsible stewardship of our natural resources.  Across this campus and on campuses across the country and around the world, members share a common commitment to leadership and service.  Membership in Gamma Sigma Delta is both an honor and a responsibility.

Student Membership Criterion

Qualified juniors, seniors, and graduate students in the Herbert College of Agriculture and the College of Veterinary Medicine are eligible for membership in Gamma Sigma Delta. Students that qualify are elected to membership must represent scholastically with a grade point average of 3.50 and greater in their class, as well as, be nominated by endorsement from Gamma Sigma Delta members for having personal qualities including leadership abilities giving promise for a successful career in agriculture or associated sciences. Faculty and Staff Membership Criterion

Faculty members, instructors and research/extension associates, and other professional staff are selected based on their outstanding contributions in teaching, research, Extension or administration. Alumni and honorary members are recommended for membership by members and reviewed by the Membership Committee; then recommended to the membership by vote for initiation.
